Racheal Cain Stephens is a LA and South Florida based director and production designer who began her filmmaking journey making backyard horror movies with the neighborhood kids at age ten. She earned her BFA in Film Production at Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts. Her first feature screenplay, 'Alaska', won First Place in the Los Angeles Screenplay Competition. The project was shortlisted for the Breaking Through the Lens Initiative at Cannes 2020 and was one of the twenty-two new feature films selected by the California Film Commission for the 2021 CA film tax credit. The film entered production in June 2021 and stars Chloë Levine, Johnathon Schaech, Grace Van Dien, Will Peltz and Peter Vack.
Along with producing and directing her feature, Alaska, Racheal works as a freelance Production Designer in Los Angeles. Recent clients include Netflix, McDonalds, Apple, BCA Bank, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 88Rising, HBO, State Farm and more.
